Description

  • Fan Art: Jak and Daxter video game series
  • This started out as just a sketch of one of my favorite old game series, but I felt like it would be fun to take it all the way and color it - despite the number of flaws in this one. Hopefully you all can forgive the mistakes that I've made. And don't worry those two of you i still owe drawings, I'm in the process of working on them I swear.

This drawing though was so fun to work on, I based the style of it more on the first installment of the game: Jak and Daxter and the Precursor Legacy instead of the newer games because I liked his design in the first games better than in the newer ones, despite the better graphics. I hope you guys like this. :)

We meet again, K.C.!
Anyway, coming all the way from ProjectComment's tag game with the word "silly".

I quite felt burdened by this word because, well, I don't quite understand why some people think something's silly and what I think is silly isn't silly for them, so, yeah. Point taken?

Anyway, I chose this picture because of the, um, meerkat-thing creature (Daxter???). OK, let's call it... Orange. Mkay, Orange. Orange has a very 'silly' expression, which just says "you kidding, bruh?" or giving a stink-eye. Orange looks quite adorable and slightly belittling the poor viewers out there haha. Anyway, the boy (Jak???) adds up the 'silliness' due to a similar expression to Orange, only more smug. Heh.

I like the colours you used in this one. Vibrant, bright, there's some gradation and faint shading. Got to love the boy's hair, though, especially the shading.

However, the boy's face looks quite, um, deformed. His eyes doesn't seem level- I have problems with this too, so, yeah. One of the ears seem to be higher than the other (were you trying to align the ears with each eye?). His left eye's outline is darker than the other, drawing more attention to it than his right's. Also, he has either a very malleable cheek or that's just one of your little flaws, because, heck, it's semi-realism-cartoonish-style. I can't even draw semi-realism without crying (because it looks quite terrible, but I'm exaggerating there). Don't forget the nose line (nose line?) so as the boy faces slightly diagonally, so, yeah.

That's all I have to say- is that 100 words...?
Happy new year!
